Tonight, Tammi got married.
One tradition that got cut (other than the dances, the use of flowers, and the garter and bouquet toss) was the honorary toast by the best man and the maid of honor. This was my first time acting as a maid of honor (I’ve been a bridesmaid on two occasions) so the toasting would have fallen to me.
I thought it would be nice to toast the couple right here on my blog.
To Tammi and Steve who know that a relationship leads you down many roads. That the roads may take you away from each other but hopefully bring you back to each other and where you need to be – just like driving in the country. To hope, faith, and enduring love. To the courage to try again. To the trust to try again. To acceptance; of each other, of love, and of a new life together as husband and wife. And to the color pink.
