I have a fairly large, partitioned hard drive in my desktop computer.
I had some issues yesterday that caused my computer to felt down- OH WAIT, NO I DIDN’T! All I tried to do was “browse” for an image that I was planning to upload to Twitter so people wouldn’t have to look at my feet and so I could have some “brand” unity between my blog and my Twitter account.
So, I did the old tricks of restarting (which it wouldn’t do) and hard restarting (aka, hold down the power button for approximately 10 seconds until the computer turns off.) I let it rest for a night and then booted up this morning. Only, Windows didn’t boot the first time. So, I reset. On attempt #2, Windows booted. The scans ran and all was fine.
Er, not.
Now all of my partitioned hard drives–you know the place where all my pictures and writing is stored– are showing up like this:

IT WAS FORMATTED YESTERDAY!
*sigh* This is going to take effort to resolve. *double sigh*

You need to backup your shit!
Is this your only advice?
I have no actual advice. I just wanted to say, because I don’t think I have said it yet, that I like your new look. That would be both personally & blogally:) I don’t like the messed up dates though. They’re too European.
good call on the dates- I should be able to fix them.
I am really loving the tag cloud though–it’s like the lie on Veggie Tales; it keeps growing!
This is a good reason to do all of these things on your work computer! That way you can just walk in the office, hand it to Mike and say “MIKE!! My internets are broken!!”
A little nod to Jeremy there.
Fantastically enough, JR has offered to help me if I bring my computer in to the office.
