The bag I adore is once again price slashed online:
http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=37582&pid=594255&scid=594255012
It might be time to buy. It is now officially cheaper to purchase online than at the store. (but maybe I should do a run through of Old Navy just in case.) ($19.50 + tax at the store $14.99 + tax online; and yes, that online cost already includes shipping.)
I still want to try and make my own. To prove I can. It seems a common theme in my life (think being vegan, knitting, and other fine tests of strength.)
PS. This bag totally goes with my bedroom decor. kinda. And I don’t really need it. *sigh*

The way the economy is going, you’ll probably be better off just not buying it if you aren’t finding yourself head over heels – gotta have it in love. If I don’t feel that way when I buy it, that’s when I have buyer’s remorse.
I just bought a vacuum cleaner from Sears online. Originally it was $349, but they had it on sale for $279. Plus I got $25 off for using my Visa through Visa.com. With tax and shipped it cost my $255. What a deal! (in case you are wondering why I’d buy a nearly $300 vacuum, the answer is that my Eureka upright doesn’t suck enough! Ha ha.)
I can’t knock anyone for buying a good vacuum after my vacuum challenges.
Buyers remorse blows. I have that with almost everything I purchase. I’m totally on board with eating at home, not stopping for coffee (which I didn’t do this morning) and not spending on anything other than necessities.
Amen. I think we can both do it. Particularly if we use our powers of persuasion for good instead of evil.
For half the cost of a coffee, we could buy a creamer. And I have good coffee at home…I could buy a thermos thing and bring an entire pot to work.
And just think how proud we are when we cook!
“I could buy a thermos thing and bring an entire pot to work.”
That’s what I have been doing for awhile now. It’s certainly cheaper!
I just keep seeing Dad’s old green Army thermos.
That’s what I have. About $20 @ Target. I get about 8 cups in it.
You know – if you do it right – you’ll come off looking like a coffee snob instead of cheap. I want to play too!
Oooh!! That DOES sound fun!! I like the sound of that. “Coffee snob”. “Oh, that’s just Tammi. She’s a coffee snob.”
It fits with my elitist persona.
Yeah, it is elitist alright. I keep mine right next to the “coffee” pot in our office. Everyone knows how I detest the Folgers “coffee” we buy. I especially like how they make it: 2 scoops per 12 cups of water. Yum!
Luckily we’ve always had 2 coffee makers at work, so I can always make one pot the way I like and one for all the wusses.
