My Reverse Fat Project 2006

September 2, 2006 by Blondette

A true internet favorite of mine is The Fat Project that started on Spark.com. These days Spark is all about online dating and doesn’t contain a lot of the fun stuff I wasted my time on, but the Fat Project lives on!

I have decided to start my own Reverse Fat Project. Yes, it is time for me to once again check myself before I wreck myself. I lost about 70 pounds between February 2005 and the end of 2005. However, since about February 2006 I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. I used to workout about 5 days a week–that was before I had a full time job to worry about in addition to my home and family life. (another story entirely) I no longer take that time to care for myself and it’s showing. Gradually, I’ve picked up the bad habits of munching on sugar and candy (which honestly 99% of the time makes me feel yucky) which has caused me to pick up about 5 or 10 pounds.

So here is my Fat Project Version 2006. My goal is to get to the ideal weight zone for my height–I’m 5’5″ so I should weigh 119-149 pounds. This means losing about 30 pounds (and really I’d like to lose 50-60) I’m pulling all these numbers out of my ass though because I haven’t stepped on a scale in over a year!

I’ve updated my iPod and made my first visit to Loose Park to walk (eventually it will be running again!)

Wish me luck!

PS. I took a few minutes to hit the swings over by the Rose Garden–as usual! Swingin'

  1. [...] The thing about SEO is it takes a major time investment. Not just implementing, but researching, staying involved and active. I could liken it to my reverse fat project. You can’t get lazy and expect good SEO just like you can’t be lazy and expect to keep losing weight. Link farms like diet pills = short term results and possible long term damage. [...]

  2. [...] Maintaining healthy eating habits is a pain in the ass. Those of us who have had successes and failures with our dietary habits know what it is to obsess over every bite and drop that goes into your body. Holy crap, I fucking hate calories. I also can’t stop thinking about them, and feeling guilty about them. [...]
